What is the difference between 3mm and 5mm?
The difference is the thickness; The 3mm foamex boards are ideal for wall mounted displays, they are lightweight and easy to lift and reposition. 5mm foamex signs are slightly more heavy duty but just as easy to transport. Ideal for shop signs, advertising boards.
Is Foamex the same as Foam core Board?
No! Foamex is a solid PVC Board and foam core is a different product with 2 outer layers of card and a middle layer of soft foam.
Can I recycle this foamex board?
Unfortunately, your foamex signs cannot be disposed of in domestic recycling, only specialist companies will be able to recycle this product. However, these printed signs are reusable and long-lasting, helping you stick to your commitment of being environmentally-friendly.
What are the requirements for artwork?
Our preferable file format is PDF. Please make sure the design files meet all general standard printing requirements like:
- Files must be to scale (100% size) or at least in proportion (half size, quarter size etc.)
- CMYK colour mode (no RGB or Pantone colours as it can cause problems)
- All text must be converted to curves/outlined or at least embedded inside supplied pdf
- A bleed of 3mm all around
- Please include cutpath for cut out boards indicating expected board shape OR simply describe where it should be and we will draw the shape for you in most cases free of charge.
